The Junior Mac is a simpler version of the MacKenzie SuperLite. The JM1 & 2 have a ported frame and the JM3, 4 & 5 have a closed frame. The reel shares many of the same features with the MacKenzie SuperLite except the reel is narrower, with a smaller arbor diameter and less porting. The JM uses a machined Delrin handle, softer line out click and a round drag adjustment knob in place of the star knob.
The Junior Mac will handle anything from trout to tarpon with superior performance. The JM1 and JM2 handle line's up to 6 wt. The JM3 and JM4 take lines 7 through 10 wt. The JM5 handles lines 10 through 12 wt. and the most popular 7, 8, 9 spey lines. The Junior Mac offers a great value and is a perfect match for the outstanding entry level rods available today.
