The Journey fly rod series was designed specifically for youth anglers. When developing this series, Ross Worldwide spent considerable time working with children to determine what rod features would help them enjoy a day on the water with their family. After more than two years of research development, they arrived at a design that we believe is the perfect youth fly rod!

Instead of taking an adult sized rod and trying to fit it into a youth sized package, Ross Worldwide combined everything they had learned from thier own children and designed the Journey series from the ground up. The cork handle is crafted to perfectly fit a child’s hand and allow for comfortable casting without fatigue. They arrived at a 4wt. design so the rod can be used on most any type of water, but the length is only 7’6” so it is easy to control.

Starting at just $119.00, this 4-piece rod series provides a great opportunity for families to introduce their children to the sport of fly fishing with the “right” equipment, without breaking the bank. The Journey series’ proprietary R-1 graphite design is a medium-fast action taper that is perfect for any casting style, and forgiving for those anglers just starting out.
